IT MANAGER, MARR SCAFFOLDING COMPANY
Summary: Marr Scaffolding Company is seeking a full-time IT Manager. The IT Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the availability and reliability of systems and networks, managing technology vendors, and implementing new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and productivity. They must ensure that the organization’s IT policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with industry standards, regulations inclusive of cyber insurance. Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing and ability to effectively troubleshoot issues. Maintaining a strong understanding of the organization’s business needs and working closely with other departments to ensure that IT is aligned with those needs is essential.
Qualifications / Requirements: BSc/BA in computer science field preferred. Five years of relevant experience, including in a supervisory role, required. Familiarity with SAGE preferred.
HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT, MARR SCAFFOLDING COMPANY
Summary: The Marr Companies is seeking an administrative assistance to VP of HR in the areas of HR administration, Recruiting, Benefits Administration and Risk Management. Great opportunity to join an established family owned and operated company with professional growth potential. Assist with benefits administration in the areas of Employee Health Insurance, Dental Plan, 401(k) & Profit Sharing Plan, Life and Disability Insurance. Maintain secure custody of official records including employment records, Savings & Profit Sharing Plan Documents, etc. Maintenance of OSHA 300 Log – assist with gathering of information necessary for completion of each business units’ log including monthly man hours, injury reports, days away, etc. Reporting of injury/vehicle accident reports – become familiar with reporting system. Prepare monthly summary of auto loss history. Assist with completion and tracking of Subcontractor Safety Questionnaires and Prequals.
Qualifications / Requirements: Solid proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong attention to detail. Confidentiality a MUST. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree in related field. Previous experience with HR and/or Safety fields desirable. Construction industry background preferred.
ASSOCIATE SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE, MARR SCAFFOLDING COMPANY
Summary: Marr Scaffolding Company is seeking a full-time safety representative to be involved in all aspects of safety and training across all Marr disciplines. The position reports to the Vice President and Director of Safety and Training. Responsibilities include providing field support for all Safety programs, including inspections, JHA/JSA preparation and toolbox talks. Ensures Safety programs/policies are being strictly enforced on all jobsites and Marr Properties (Yards, Warehouses). Assists VP/Safety in establishment and communication of Safety Policies & Procedures to enhance the current program as well as to ensure compliance with jobsite specific, Local, State and OSHA standards and regulations.
Qualifications / Requirements: Should possess a Construction OSHA-10 Hour certification and a 30-Hour OSHA certification. Needs to be familiar with ANSI A10.8 for Scaffolds as well as OSHA 1926 Subpart L. Should possess technical knowledge of ground support scaffolds, swing stage and shoring equipment. Needs to understand fall protection requirements as it pertains to OSHA subpart M. Also, needs to be familiar with Boston Fire code of 1979 and NFPA 241 regulations as it pertains to temporary enclosures. Experience with direct contact with construction field personnel desirable. Additional consideration shall be given to those who have experience with Subparts CC, R, N, X. Also, persons who are First Aid/ CPR Certified and possess an OSHA authorized Trainer Credential. *Training will be provided. AERIAL LIFT MECHANIC, MARR SCAFFOLDING COMPANY
Summary: Marr Scaffolding Company is seeking a full-time Aerial Lift Mechanic. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of aerial lift equipment (booms, scissors, forklifts and other specialized equipment) both in the shop and in the field. Duties include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, replacing parts, and responding to breakdowns in the field (jobsites) to ensure equipment is operating safely and properly.
Qualifications / Requirements: Candidates must be physically capable of lifting at least 70 pounds regularly, with the ability to bend, stoop, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. A valid driver’s license is required, along with a professional driving record. Candidates must be willing to obtain, or already possess, a forklift and hoisting license and demonstrate proficiency in operating related equipment. Prior experience as a mechanic is required; diesel and hydraulic system experience is preferred.
**This is a union position and after probationary period applicant would be required to join Teamsters union Local 25 and be eligible for pension and union health benefits**
SERVICE TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC, SAFLOK
Summary: SAFLOK is seeking a full time Service Technician / Mechanic. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles across all Marr companies. Equipment includes tractors, trailers, roll-offs, and straight trucks. Duties include performing preventive maintenance, completing repairs, responding to breakdowns in the field, and conducting state inspections on both light and heavy-duty vehicles.
Qualifications / Requirements: Candidates must be physically capable of lifting at least 70 pounds regularly and performing tasks that require manual dexterity, bending, and stooping. A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License is required, along with a clean and professional driving record. Familiarity with hydraulic systems and air brakes is essential. Applicants must either possess or be willing to obtain a state inspection sticker license.
