Robert “Bob” Dembitzki is Vice President for Marr Scaffolding Company. He is responsible for overseeing the Scaffold, Shoring and Engineering divisions, including sales and labor. He also ensures that service, safety and best practices are put to use on all projects. Bob has worked at Marr since 2012. Previously, he was the Northeast District Sales Manager at Harslo Infrastructure.
Bob’s favorite part about Marr is that the company is “a fabric of the construction community,” he says. “Whether its scaffold, cranes or even a scissor lift, our footprint is left on so many projects in the city.”

Kathy is the Marketing Director at The Marr Companies. Kathy has worked at Marr since 1997, mostly part time until October 2013. Previously, she was Vice President of Corporate Relations at Perini Corporation.
Kathy’s favorite part about her position at Marr is the array of activity company-wide that she’s involved with. “There is something new about every day which is energizing and motivating,” she says. “The requirements of the position can be very dynamic and I enjoy the variability.”
Kathy’s professional and personal goal has always been to enjoy and appreciate the journey. She says, “It is important to me to love what I do, to be able to add value to whatever project I am working on and to have opportunities to be creative. Continuing to learn new things, having a certain degree of independence and feeling productive contribute to my sense of personal achievement, even though my successes are probably not as great as I wish them to be and my failures not as awful as I fear them to be (at least I hope so).”

Louie “Lou” Giunta is the Vice President of Isaac Blair & Co. He is responsible for initiating project management of all projects; evaluating and predicting the scope of work including engineering and design; appraising and estimating total cost of projects; serving as liaison between General Contractor and engineer, as well as chief coordinator and communicator to field leadership; assisting in trouble-shooting and problem-solving during the duration of projects; overseeing all necessary inspections; acting as chief coordinator during emergency response work; and being in contact with customers and expanding the growing customer base. Lou has been with Marr since 1968, first working as General Manager of Saf-Lok Scaffolding.
Lou’s favorite part about working at Marr has been feeling as though he’s among his extended family. “I have been very lucky to have worked with and still work with some of the most amazing people, many of whom are my good friends,” he says.
Lou’s personal goal is to to be the best grandfather he can be to his six grandchildren. “When I was younger, it didn’t really occur to me how fast time would go, and now my kids are parents,” he says. “I am blessed to have the chance to do things with them that I may have not done with my kids when they were small.”
As for his professional goal, Lou says, “With the help of a great team, I have been able to put the Isaac Blair Company on a course that has risen to a point where we have set a standard of integrity and professionalism in the industry. My goal is to continue to maintain that status as long as I am Vice President. A wise old friend once told me, ‘When you stop, you rust.’ So at my age I have no desire to retire because working keeps me feeling young.

Michael “Mike” Jackman is the Parts Manager for the Aerial Lift Division at Marr Scaffolding Company. He is responsible for procuring repair parts and all necessary supplies to repair scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, fork lifts and vans for the company and customers. Mike has worked at Marr since 2017.
Mike’s favorite part about Marr is the people. Since walking in the door, he says it’s felt like home. “Everyone has been very welcoming, friendly and helpful.” Outside of Marr, Mike hopes to earn a degree in Business Management and Game Theory/Analysis. He is an avid sports fan, loves playing gold, poker and spending time with his family and two cats.
Alexander “Alex” Kleinert is a Field Engineer for Daniel Marr & Son. He is responsible for the measuring, layout and documentation of new and existing building components. Alex also provides as-built drawings and coordinates all related tasks. He has been at Marr since 2012. Previously, he worked as an installer for an underground utility company while he attended college.
Alex’s favorite part about Marr is working on all the interesting and challenging projects he’s come across. He says, “The most interest project has been the Nashua Street Residences for Avalon Bay. The steel has been very interestingly designed and is the largest I have been a part of.”

Robert “Bob” Marr is Chairman of the Board of The Marr Companies. Bob joined Marr in 1960 and his many years of experience make him well suited to assist the fifth generation ownership in securing the future of the companies. Previously, he served as a Lieutenant (junior grade) in the U.S. Navy, stationed at Great Lakes, IL.
Bob’s favorite experience at Marr has been introducing new methods and equipment to the industry. Also, he’s enjoyed guiding the companies’ growth.
It’s long been Bob’s personal goal to see the growth and continued expansion of the management team.

Also, she provides customer service, completes monthly Union H&W benefits reports and reviews, validates and notarizes lien waivers. Jennifer has worked at Marr since 2011. Previously, she was a Customer Service Manager for Wal-Mart USA and Wal-Mart International Accounts at Sterilite Corporation.

Jeffrey T. Marr is the Vice President of Marr Scaffolding Company. Jeff is responsible for the sales, rentals and operations for the company. He also supervises the management of branch and all warehouse operations. Jeff joined Marr in 1977.
Jeff’s most enjoyable experience working at Marr was the expansion of the company in the 80s and 90s, which included the acquisition of new warehousing and equipment lines, as well as the addition of new personnel. More recently, working with his two children, Jeff Jr. and Katherine, have taken over the “favorite” position.

Thomas “Tom” McCafferty is the Vice President and Sales Manager for the Aerial Lifts Division of Marr Scaffolding Company. His responsibilities entail guiding and encouraging sales staff with enthusiasm, and delivering the best results for clients. Tom has worked at Marr since 1990. Previously, he was a Sales Representative at Action Equipment Co.
Tom’s favorite experiences at Marr include celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the company and viewing Boston atop all three towers: John Hancock, Prudential and 100 Federal Street.
A professional goal of Tom’s is to aid and enjoy the development of all the company’s young men and women as they learn and develop in the industry.

James “Jim” Mullin is the Contracts Administrator and Job Cost Manager for Marr Scaffolding Company. He is responsible for reviewing and approving contracts, issuing Certificates of Insurance, and billing all AIA. Additionally, he manages, maintains and reports on job cost situations. Bill has worked at Marr since 1991. Previously, he was President of BAF Air Services.
Jim’s favorite experience at Marr was being able to work with his dad for several years. He says it was “an opportunity of a lifetime.”
Jim’s professional goal is to become Administrative Vice President for The Marr Companies.

Charles Pham is Manager of the Engineering Department at Marr Scaffolding Company. His responsibilities are to to engineer and design construction projects in compliance with customer contract requirements and specifications. Charles has worked at Marr since 1994. Previously, he worked for Aluma Systems, Inc. in Long Beach, CA.
Charles’ favorite part about Marr is that it’s allowed him to work with a variety of product lines from shoring and forming, scaffolding and Hydro-mobile (Mast Climber) swing staging. He credits this experience with helping broaden his knowledge of the construction business as a whole. Charles says, “My professional goal is to apply my knowledge of the construction products and engineering to help the customers complete their construction projects in an economical and profitable manner.”

Ron Picnia is the Sales/Senior Project Manager for the Springfield Office at Marr Scaffolding Company. In Sales, he is responsible for recognizing the customers’ needs and converting to a solution to ensure profitability and good customer relations. For project management, he is responsible for scheduling Installation & Dismantle crews and monitoring projects from start to finish. Ron has worked at Marr since 2008. Previously, he was a Salesman and General Foreman for Safway Services.
Ron’s favorite part about working at Marr is the people. In particular, he says, “the family atmosphere and how each individual’s role is important in helping one another achieve success.”
Ron’s professional goal is to achieve success in whatever it is he does.

Thomas “Tom” Ritchie is an Inside Sales Coordinator for the Aerial Lifts Division at Marr Scaffolding Company. He is responsible for coordinating with sales, service, and customers to deliver Powered Equipment to job sites. “Customer service and satisfaction is of the utmost importance,” says Tom. Before coming to Marr in 2008, Tom worked at Trinity Pub and The Wild Rover as a Manager.
Tom’s favorite part about working at Marr is the people. He considers them to be “very courteous, friendly and professional.”
Tom’s professional goal is to work in a specific sales territory in the Power Division, where he believes he can be most successful in managing and cultivating the area’s business.
Outside of work, Tom stays active on the ice: “I enjoy coaching kids and teaching them the game of hockey.”
Janet Louise Rivera-Jones is Executive Assistant to the CEO/President of The Marr Companies. Her responsibility is to provide administrative support to the CEO and senior level management. She has worked at Marr since 2008. Previously, she worked as Executive Coordinator at the MBTA Transit Police Department.
Janet’s favorite part about working at Marr is the people. She says, “The people that work here are always willing to assist if you have a question or need direction. There is no ‘NOT MY JOB’ attitude. Everyone pitches in together. Teamwork is a strong part of the work force.”
Janet’s personal goals include retiring and being a grandmother someday. As for her professional goals: “I’d like to be discovered!!!”

Fred “Butch” Spring is an Operations Manager and Installation & Dismantle Coordinator for Marr Scaffolding Company. His responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations at MSC, as well as coordinating daily labor requirements and job materials for Installation & Dismantle crews and MSC yard personnel. Butch has worked at Marr since 1989. Previously, he was an Estimator for Triple G Scaffolding and a Salesman at ATS Equipment.
Butch says his favorite part about working at Marr are his co-workers: “They make the working environment great. We spend so much time together each day. We are like a big family.”

Vice President, Safety and Training
Eric Stalman is the Vice President of Safety and Training for The Marr Companies. He is responsible for providing support for all company safety programs, as well as providing training and education to Marr employees and customers. Eric worked at Marr from 2006 to 2012 before returning to his current position in June of 2015. Previously, Eric was the Safety Manager at Liberty Construction Services & Equipment.
Additional interesting facts about Eric: He is a state certified EMT for over 20 years and is a former Lieutenant on the Waltham Auxiliary Fire Department.
Beverly “Bev” Sullivan is a Project Administrator for Daniel Marr & Son. She oversees the DM&S field payroll and union benefits, making sure they are completed correctly. Bev is also responsible for DM&S Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables, along with handling all financial paper work for DM&S projects from coding to cost reports. Bev has worked at Marr since 2002. Previously, she worked as a National Recruiter for Summit National in Braintree, MA.
Bev’s favorite part about working at Marr is the never-ending changing work load. She says, “There is always something different and challenging being thrown at me.” She also enjoys the independent and relaxed work environment.
A professional goals of Bev’s is to have every DM&S report completed on time. A personal goal of Bev’s: “To get through a day without talking to myself at my desk.”

Bill Sullivan is the Corporate Controller for Marr Scaffolding Company. He is responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance functions of the four businesses, including reporting accurate and timely information to internal and external parties. Bill has worked at Marr since 2014. Previously, he was Corporate Manager Financial Planning & Analysis at Covidien Healthcare Products.
Bill’s favorite part about Marr is working with friendly people and having the freedom to create tools designed to improve efficiency and accuracy. A professional goal of his is to learn more about the construction industry and environment so that he can be a better resource to Executive Management and all employees.

Paul S. Tilley

Paul Tilley is Vice President and Controller of The Marr Companies. He is responsible for the development and operation of an effective system of accounting controls over all four Marr businesses. The scope of Paul’s work includes accounting for Daniel Marr & Son, Marr Scaffolding Company, Marr Crane & Rigging, Isaac Blair & Co., Saf-Lok Scaffolding and several Marr trusts, Partnerships and LLC. He manages all centralized accounting functions including but not limited to G/L, A/P, A/R, Billing, Payroll and Inventory. This entails maintaining proper accounting records from book of original entry through the issue of timely, accurate, complete Financial Statements. Paul has worked at Marr since 1997. Previously, he was the Accounting Manager of Government Contract Accounting at GTE Government Systems Corporation.

Helen Tully is an Accountant at Marr Scaffolding Company. She is responsible for monthly journal entries, Union Fringes, Bank Reconciliations, Administration Payroll and Account Analysis. Helen has worked at Marr since 2000.
Carlos Roberto Vasquez is a Dispatcher for Marr Scaffolding Company. He is responsible for scheduling drivers to pick up or deliver loads to customers and Installation & Dismantle jobs. He also fulfills an administrative role by filing the appropriate paperwork, monitoring driver progress, processing orders and maintaining payroll information by collecting and entering data on spreadsheets. Before starting at Marr Scaffolding in 2013, Carlos worked for Marr Equipment (now Marr Crane & Rigging) for nine years. Previously, he was a Security Officer at Logan Airport / U.S. Airways.

Dave Vozzella is the Senior Sales Representative for the Aerial Lift Division at Marr Scaffolding Company. He is responsible for managing territory North of Boston, including New Hampshire and Maine. He specializes in the sales and rental of equipment, as well as the project management of suspended scaffold. Dave has been at Marr since 1999. Previously, he was a Sales Representative at Sterritt Lumber Co.
Dave’s favorite experience at Marr is meeting and exceeding client demands, and making sure he helps them do their job efficiently and safely.

Danny Young is Systems and Network Manager for all four businesses at the Marr Companies. He is responsible for overseeing and keeping network hardware running in all four locations, as well as making sure all vendor software works together. Before coming to Marr, Danny was a Senior Programmer Analyst and wrote software in RPG, SDA, OCL, SEU, and COBOL languages.
Danny’s favorite experience working at Marr is the family and team culture. He says, “Everyone helps and cares for one another. They will lend their experience to solve tasks at hand. It is a great feeling to be part of a team.”
As computers and networks become more complicated and important to the Marr Companies, Danny’s goal is to have “zero down time.” According to him, “If the systems are down, then the information stops moving.”
Additional interesting facts from Danny: “Due to a handicap caused by an accident at age 19, I have accomplished what many could not with the use of only one hand. Also, my fresh water fishing skills are so finely tuned I can tell you if the fish are biting simply by smelling the lake air.”
